So after a lot of talking, brainstorming, meetings, emails and bribes haha, its coming!! I cant tell you much, or show you anything. I can’t give you details or a date. All I can say is we are currently working on a t-shirt and hat and its going to be HUGEEEEEEEEE. I am so stoked on this collab. An obsession that started in VA with Mishka almost 4years ago, has grown into a friendship and now working relationship. And to have my homies the 123Klan and their brand involved as well, just makes this that much more amazing. I know this is a huge tease and im sorry, but for now it just has to be like that. But unlike most people I won’t leave my readers hangin. Here is a a hot girl and her sweet boobs, I hope this helps haha.
Last year just a little after I started the blog, I got a set of comments from 2 guys in Saskatoon. I checked out the site linked to the comment and was quite pleased to find it was 2 brothers who had a new street wear company called Single Second. We quickly bonded and since have become friends. Trevor and Derek are 2 of the realest dudes out there, and thats a rare find today. After months of behind the scenes talk, we decided to come together an create a shirt. Going with the flow of both companies, a zombie shirt seemed like a good choice. Asking Drop to put something together with our ideas a 2010 remake of the infamous Return Of The Dead movie poster was created. With today being Canada day, we thought it would be perfect to unveil this bad boy. It is up in the shop now, only 100 made, with 50 being sold on my site and 50 on theirs. Just like the dead, DON’T sleep, these will be goneeeee!
My first skateboard ever was Per Welinder’s Powell & Peralta “Nordic Skull”. I purchased the skateboard in a skate shop in Maine over the summer holidays. I was instantly pulled in by it’s graphic and long nose. Not knowing much about skateboarding at the time, I was unaware of the fact that Per Welinder was a very successful swedish freestyle skater. So much in fact that Welinder had a both a street and freestyle pro model. I chose this Graphic to be apart of my Skate Or Lie shirts because of its iconic image, but also because it brings me back to the beginning. A few detail changes have been made to modernize it a bit, and of course the runic font spells Truth of a Liar vs Per Welinder. I really love the look of this shirt, which I am calling “Nordic Liar”. Drop did exactly what I asked for in re-producing this image from the 80′s, and I couldn’t be more happier with it.
You can pre-order it right now in the shop, but don’t sleep. Between pre-orders and the event, this shirt will be gone lickity split.
Working closely once again with my friend and partner Drop for the 1 year anniversary of the blog, we came up with the soon to be available “Skate Or Lie” Pack. Here is your first sneak peak at the upcoming Truth of a Liar shirts and hat set to launch. I can tell you now from the feedback I have received from the people that have seen the actual stuff already, these are going to be quick sells!! I am so stoked, June 1st can’t come fast enough. I will unveil 1 shirt design officially on the following dates, May 12th, 19th and finally on the 26th I will show you the hat. The shirts and hat will go up for pre-order in the shop as they are revealed, and will go on sale at midnight on the 5th after the Sub-V event.
So my man DROP hooked it up again, and this time I don’t have words. It’s like this dude is in my head. I just tell him and idea, and he creates it as if it was by my hand. The sign of a true artist. I am so lucky to have him as a friend and partner.
So with the worlds biggest rapper about to do some time in the slammer beginning next Tuesday, Truth of a Liar decided to show him a little love. The “FREEZY” is once again a very limited shirt release. I am officially taking pre-orders with the shirt to be available in a few weeks. When I say “limited”, I mean it. I am making 50 and thats it. These will sell out fast, DON’T sleep!!
So as few have seen but a lot of you have heard, my first limited shirt designed by my boy Drop was set to release first of the month for Truth of a Liar. I was so excited I ended up releasing it early haha. I have printed up 75 of these shirts I have dubbed “Black Metal Liar”. The shop is up and running, and the T-Shirt is available to purchase now for $30.00 CND + $6.50 S&H. Once orders are placed I will ship out to you within 48hrs.
I just wanted to say this is all coming together for me. A dream I always had was to have a blog and put out limited stuff. This dream is becoming a reality finally. I want to make it clear to all that this is and will remain a blog first and foremost. Any shirts or accessories (I have a few cool things in the works) I put out will be on a limited basis and once they are sold out will never be reproduced again. I may do a new shirt every few months or every 6 months, I haven’t really decided yet. I guess it will be all based on your response! Once again I just want to thank Drop, this shirt could not be possible without you’re amazing talent bro.
