Full Bleed
I used to love skateboarding. It was my life back in the day, so naturally I still enjoy good clips and photos. Powerhouse Books has gotten together with longtime champions and documentarians of the New York City skateboarding scene, Alex Corporan, Andre Razo and Ivory Serra for Full Bleed: New York City Skateboard Photography, a photo book chronicling over 30 years of skateboarding in the center of the universe. The amazing list of contributors includes Giovanni Reda, Jessica Bard, Ivory Serra, Tobin Yelland, Craig Wetherby, Miki Vuckovich, Thomas Campbell, Larry Clark, Ed Templeton, Jerry Hsu, Atiba Jefferson, Bryce Knights, Angela Boatwright, Athena Currey, Kenneth Cappello, Charlie Samuels, Andy Kessler, Mike O’Meally, Sammy Glucksman, Allen Ying, and more. Check out a preview here.

I have never skateboarded. I am too clumsy, would break my neck if I did. But I love watching. My kid skateboards and is pretty good at it.
